Read the one for your sign before you answer. Aries: acts first, decides quickly, loses interest once the difficult beginning is over. Taurus: slow to move, hard to shift, attached to comfort and to keeping things as they are. Gemini: thinks by talking, holds two positions at once, bored by repetition. Cancer: protective, tied to home and family, remembers slights for a long time. Leo: wants the work seen, generous in public, proud in a way that makes asking difficult. Virgo: examines everything closely, improves what is in front of it, turns the same scrutiny inward.
Libra: weighs both sides, finds open conflict genuinely unpleasant, decides late. Scorpio: private, all or nothing, slow to trust and slower to forget. Sagittarius: widens the frame, needs room, certain ahead of the evidence. Capricorn: patient, strategic, restrained in a way that reads as cold from outside. Aquarius: stands back to look at a situation rather than reacting inside it, fixed once its principles are set. Pisces: takes on the mood of a room and struggles to separate it from its own.
What a match would and would not prove
Suppose you match closely. Two explanations sit in front of you and the test cannot choose between them. Either the description happens to fit, or you have spent years reading a description of yourself and have grown towards it, which is well documented in every system that hands people a label young.
Suppose you do not match. That is equally ordinary. The sun sign is one position out of ten in a chart, and the tradition itself says the Moon and the rising sign account for a great deal of ordinary behaviour. A person whose chart is weighted elsewhere will read their sun sign paragraph and find a stranger in it.
Neither outcome is evidence for or against astrology, and this page is not built to produce any. What it produces is a description of how you answered.
Why the questions ask about situations
The temptation with a test like this is to ask whether you are loyal, or determined, or creative. Nobody says no. Adjectives of that kind are agreed to rather than answered, which is why questionnaires built from them return a flattering result to everyone.
The questions here fix on a moment instead: money you were not expecting, a plan collapsing an hour beforehand, someone close who is plainly wrong and has not said so. You are asked whether the description predicted what you actually did on those occasions, which is harder to answer generously than a list of qualities.
One question asks what somebody who has known you for a decade would guess. That is the closest this page comes to an outside check, and it is the question most people find uncomfortable.
The more useful version of the question
If the description missed, the interesting work is finding what it missed with. The Moon is the usual answer, since it describes the reflex under the deliberate choice, and it changes sign every two and a half days rather than every month. The rising sign accounts for the rest, and it turns over roughly every two hours, which is why two people born on one date can behave nothing alike.
Both need a birth time, and both are computed rather than guessed. That is a different kind of exercise from this page, and the only one of the two that produces a fact.
Questions people ask about this
Does a low match mean I am not really my sign?
No. Your sun sign is fixed by where the Sun was on your birth date and nothing about your behaviour can change it. A low match means your answers did not resemble a short generalisation, which is common.
Is a high match a sign of a strong chart?
There is no such measurement. The tradition does describe placements that emphasise a sign, such as several planets sitting in it, but this test does not look at your chart and cannot detect any of that.
Why do I need to read the description first?

Are the descriptions here the standard ones?
They are the usual traditional accounts, cut down and with the associated faults left in. Most popular versions keep the strengths and quietly drop the difficulties, which makes matching much easier than it should be.

That happens frequently, and the tradition explains it by the rest of the chart rather than by the sun sign being wrong. The Moon and the rising sign are the two placements most often responsible.
